Impossible Integral Film for
The 20x24 Camera

A World Premiere

It was the 21st of September 2010. It was a cloud-free Tuesday night in Cologne. And it was not just just an ordinary night - it was a magic night, when Impossible made the unlikely possible once more and surprised more than 150 selected guests at the Impossible Soirée in Cologne. Our friend Jan Hnizdo traveled all the way to Cologne to set up his fabled 20x24 inch Polaroid camera. And for the first time in the history of analog instant photography, we dared to use integral instant film instead of peel-apart film in this legendary camera. Therefore we produced a special, unique large-format integral instant film which contained the brand new and 2nd generation of Impossible Silver and Color Shade chemistry. We filled it into the pods of 8x10 inch film, wherefore we purchased the production machinery and which we restarted for this case.

This unusual, unique and impossible adventure came to a happy end that saw the presentation of 9 portraits taken of visitors and guests. Everyone was blown away by the details and quality of the image material. See for yourself!

New York

The amazing success of the first Impossible 20x24 shooting produced the biggest integral instant prints of mankind. And it inspires the Impossible to strengthen its relations with the 20x24 Studio in NYC even more, fighting to make the original Polaroid based 20x24 material available throughout the world as well as developing a worldwide 20x24 contest.
