When & Where

"Some say that photography is to shoot the light, but the real photography is to shoot the shadows." Nobuyoshi Araki

In 1998 Araki's work was for the first time exhibited in Taiwan, at the “Taipei Biennale”. After 13 years, Araki Nobuyoshi is now back in Taiwan for a large-scale show on his current work. Amongst it there are around 300 photographs taken on Araki's beloved PX 600 Silver Shade Black Frame film. The Black Frame film spoke to Araki immediately - reminding him of obituary notices, it matched his philosophy of photography being portraits of the deceased.

The works exhibited at this exhibition are very new works and this is the very first opportunity to see them.
